No, I felt convicted to throw away some stones a close family member bought me. This was someone I was still trying to bring to Christ, they came around and asked me where the stones were, I explained and they were in tears, they said it wasn’t a Christian thing to do. This was someone I had massive arguments with as a child and things could be tense for days. I thought things would remain tense, instead by tomorrow morning, all was well again. When we trust God and abide by his will and stay in the truth, we can leave the rest to him to restore any hurt that was caused.

63Were they brought up with Christ values growing up? I only wonder because… I find it fascinating when people who don’t know anything about Christ or His word tell us whether something is a “christian” thing or not… not saying this is your case, however!! Was just curious- have a good night! 🌙

142It was only until my forties when I got saved, by this point, I barely knew the Bible before that. When she gave us the stones, I tried keeping them for a while so the conviction was never a reaction, it was over a period of time until I couldn’t ignore it anymore. My wife is also a Christian, when she was upset, she first tried to comfort her, she thought I might have been wrong but then she received the same conviction, I didn’t need to persuade her. God reminded her of Rachel in Genesis 31 when she stole one of her Father’s household God’s.

142Why Genesis 31 matters is because Rachel would later die giving birth to Benjamin in a painful manner. The person in question received an illness that will make it hard to have children.
