Absolutely not. Pastors may serve as religious leaders who help guide the congregation but they should not be involved in direct politics. Pastors should remind and uphold the teachings and virtues taught by our Lord, and help steer us to the path that Jesus laid out in the New Testament. Pastors endorsing politicians is in direct contradiction of the role they are entrusted to perform. Politicians are inherently selfish and prideful - believing that they must be in a role to enact change and uphold their values and beliefs. In secular government, politicians tend to straddle fences and placate ideals outside the teachings of the Lord. Pastors should know this, and focus not on endorsing another layer of earthly rules, but focus on eternal salvation for those who have accepted the call of our Lord.
