125When have you felt truly prepared for a challenge through faith?
Recently, got sick with an ear infection. I wasn’t in any pain but had fever. Anyway, I took some time off to take meds and recover. Over the next couple of days I just had a sense that I needed to walk. It was overwhelming. I just started walking around and around my yard. Over the next 3 days I had walked about 40k steps not leaving my home. Just around and around. My husband thought I was losing it but I felt just something coming. I was cleaning and organizing. And walking. I was worried for a moment that this was the “impending doom” that people speak of. A week or so later my mother in law who was living with us became fatally ill. She went downhill so fast. We knew she did not want to be in a hospital so we quickly coordinated her care and she died peacefully at home just over 3 weeks later. I sensed then and can see clearly now that God was preparing me. I had gotten so organized that I was able to take on my MILs full time care with the help of my family. God held us through that and provided the strength that I did not possess prior. I praise the Lord everyday for guiding my family and I during those days and the month or so that’s followed.
