If you were Philemon, how would you respond to Paul's appeal?
I would accept him as a brother in Christ and forgive. The real work is when he comes back, roman society would expect the normal relationship between the 2 classes of citizen. His Christianity in action will be a direct change to the social norm which will draw people to christ or infuriate them. Just like today.
