For a time I did. I heard so many sermons of how we are God’s people, we are blessed and highly favored that when the hard times hit, I lived in this place of denial telling myself that I had to be happy because I am blessed and highly favored. Thankfully I have grown, God showed me that even David had times of grief and sorrow. He did not deny it, he cried out to God. Now I realize that yes I am blessed and highly favored but that does not mean I will be happy all the time.
